It's our commitment to give back
Our people, our customers and the community are at the heart of everything we do. We want to invest in future generations, deliver world-class products and services and give back to those in need.
Investing in the future
We are committed to inspiring future generations of IT professionals. These are the thinkers of tomorrow. By unlocking potential in the community, our promise to be your potential is realised both internally and externally.
We work with various schools on a number of different activities, such as IT careers events, business mentors, and work experience.
Our community matters
We believe in giving something back to the local community. This year instead of a national charity, we asked colleagues to nominate regional charities. We received some great suggestions and have decided to support one charity through various fundraising activities throughout the year.
We value the contribution our colleagues can make in the community, so we allow 24 hours a year paid leave to volunteer for a charity of their choice.
In addition to this, colleagues often take part in local fundraising activities such as bake sales, charity quiz nights and participate in organised sporting events.
OUR LATEST FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
Palace to Palace 2019
Team Timico, in partnership with Fortinet, came together once again in support of the Prince's Trust for the 2019 Palace to Palace ride from Buckingham Palace through to beautiful Richmond Park and Surrey countryside before finishing in Windsor. The charity helps disadvantaged youth aged 11-30 to embrace exciting opportunities.
We are committed to inspiring future generations, our thinkers of tomorrow, by unlocking the potential in the community both through our internal apprenticeship programs and through supporting great charities and organisations like the Prince’s Trust. This year we were grateful to have the additional support from our partners at Fortinet, who sponsored our beautiful new jerseys – thank you Fortinet!

Health & wellbeing
It is a priority for our business to encourage a healthy working environment. We support the health and wellbeing of our colleagues through the following initiatives:
Working towards our Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award
Discounted physiotherapy sessions
Implementation of Bike-2-Work
Fresh fruit and a selection of soft and hot drinks
We believe it’s essential to operate in an environmentally conscious manner, and our objective is to minimise the impact of our business activity on the environment wherever possible.
We use the latest design principles to minimise power consumption in our Tier 3 data centre, generating customer savings and improving our carbon footprint.
The free air cooling method utilises external ambient air during colder months lowering energy consumption, and the cold aisle containment design reduces the volume of cold air required, contributing to individual pods rather than the whole hall - reducing energy usage and making for a greener environment.
We discourage unnecessary printing and dispose of all paper waste in the recycle bins circulated around all three of our sites. We recycle electrical equipment by use of a WEEE skip.
Wherever possible we discourage paper communication with our customers and suppliers, preferring to use forms of technology.
We have collaborative conferencing installed in each office and encourage colleagues to use it whenever possible to minimise unnecessary travel and reduce our carbon footprint.
