The awards, which will take place on Thursday 13 May, is an annual gala event recognising outstanding achievements and excellence in manufacturing across the Midlands. As IT specialists in the manufacturing sector, we have seen first-hand how businesses have gone above and beyond in the past 12 months to support the Covid-19 effort. We are proud to sponsor an event that will celebrate this hard-work and commitment.  

A leading region for manufacturing  

In recent years, the Midlands has become a key player in leading manufacturing activity, accounting for 34 per cent of the UK’s manufacturing output. The awards, in its 11th year, is a key date in the sector’s calendar, with key business leaders, stakeholders and influencers all in attendance.  

This is the first time that we have chosen to sponsor the Made in Midlands Awards, with Timico being named as the Drink Reception Sponsor. Other sponsors include Coventry University, accountants, Haines Watts and top 100 law firm, Bevan Brittan.  

Saying thank you to manufacturing  

Our digital officer, Paul Farrelly said: “Manufacturers have been a key part of the Covid-19 effort supplying vital products and necessities to communities and businesses across the UK. It is important that we shine a light on those manufacturers and give them the recognition and support that they deserve. 

“With 10 awards up for grabs, the Made in the Midlands Awards will give us and the region the opportunity to say thank you to manufacturers for the impact they made during what has been a very challenging year.
