Internal Sales Support

Role Overview

  • The Sales Support team are responsible for providing day to day support in the customer development sales environment, through being an internal resource for direct customer engagement across the Timico Key and Major customer base, to include support to the sales and account teams that manage this customer base
  • You will be dealing with a variety of customers on a daily basis, building rapport quickly, providing quotations and follow up on a wide range of requirements
  • While there may be some interactions with customers on operational issues these should be passed to the relevant operational part of the business while ensuring a great customer experience
  • This role will be office-based with the expectation that there may be occasions where a customer visit is appropriate.   Therefore, ideally candidates will hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide desk-based support to the field-based account teams and their customers in their day to day administrative tasks

This can include but is not exclusive to:

  • Assisting customers and field-based sales with pricing requests through understanding their requirements and accurately quoting on items required
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with customers
  • Actively seek to recognise any sales opportunities within the key and major base
  • Help with processing of paperwork for customer orders
  • Updating and maintaining Timico CRM tool for all opportunities you are engaged on
  • Provide a day to day point of contact where an Account Manager is not available
  • Act as liaison between key stakeholders within Timico and the customer
  • Have an awareness of and take responsibility for delivering clean orders into the operational teams at Timico
  • Maintain a professional manner and at all times, ensuring that your conduct meets with Timico’s high standards
  • Make the account managers aware of any sales opportunities within their base
  • Be relied upon for data cleansing exercises ensuring data and contacts in Sales-force remain accurate

Essential Attributes

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Confident and systematic when working with data
  • GCSE’s level C or above in Maths and English
  • High standard of written English and familiar with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ideally candidates will hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Must have experience of working within the IT/communications sector
  • Experience in a customer focused sales environment
  • Have a keen knowledge of a wide range of Timico’s service portfolio
  • Excellent communication skills, including a clear, confident speaking voice and a friendly rapport with customers
  • Pro-active and able to use own initiative
  • Diligent and show a high level of attention to detail
  • Understands and believes in the relationship between sales and operations
