With an 03 number, callers cannot be charged more than the cost of a national call by you, the service provider, and no revenue share is available. The new 03 number ranges were established to provide consumers with reassurance about the cost of calls.

03 numbers are included in the bundled minutes of all network providers, whether from a fixed line or mobile, meaning customers are liable for a reduced cost or no cost at all. Plus apart from being more cost effective than a 0800 number, an 03 number conveys the impression of a national presence.

Who can use 03 numbers?

• Numbers starting 030 are designed for use only by public bodies and not for profit services
• Numbers starting 033 can be used by any organisation
• Numbers starting 034 and 037 are available to anyone currently using 084 or 087 numbers
