Timico Technology Group acquires Redwood

Boosts IP telephony and unified communications capability

Newark, UK - February 9th, 2012 - Timico Technology Group Ltd (Timico), the independent managed services provider, today announced the acquisition of Redwood Telecommunications Limited (Redwood), the London based unified communications service provider.

Since 1992, Redwood has combined best of breed technology to provide voice and data solutions for businesses in the financial services, professional services, insurance and media sector with a host of UK-based and international business clients. Redwood has developed particular expertise in Mitel and Avaya IP telephony solutions, conferencing and contact centre services.

Redwood employs 28 staff from its London office including a 24 hour customer support centre. Field-based engineers support customers nationally and internationally including companies such as Broadgate Estates, Clarksons plc, General Mills, Glasses Direct and Jimmy Choo.

Charlie Whelpton, Managing Director and co-founder will continue to manage the company as an independent subsidiary within the Timico Technology Group. Timico recently opened a new tier III data centre in Newark to provide hosted IT solutions to customers across the Timico group, which now includes four service provider brands: Timico, Newnet, Powernet and Redwood.
